About
Keep Music Alive was founded by husband and wife team Vincent James & Joann Pierdomenico in the summer of 2014. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn how to play music and every adult needs to be reminded that it's never to late to start playing.
All donations to Keep Music Alive are tax-deductible and support Kids Music Day, Teach Music Week and our year-round Instrument Petting Zoo programs. Our Federal EIN is #82-2571853 .
"Music can change the world because it can change people"
Our Mission
Our Keep Music Alive mission to promote the VALUE of MUSIC: For children's education, the many types of therapy music helps with and for our overall happiness. Our ultimate goal is to help more children (and adults) reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music.
Our Vision
To help support this mission, we founded Teach Music Week (March) and Kids Music Day (October). Each year, we partner with hundreds of music schools, stores and organizations around the world to offer free lessons to new students and hold special events that benefit and celebrate kids playing music.
